When I first read this article I couldn't help laughing. But, you have to think it does make sense. I always liked the idea of a small and lightweight laptop, but I was always afraid I would misplace it or somehow lose it. Which is why I have a six pound, 15.4 inch laptop (I would have gone with 17.4 inch screen, but it's tough to find cases for those). But, I digress. Like the author of this article states, I could see this as a regular occurrence.

i hate big laptops. too clunky.
i had a vaio that had a 13 inch screen. i loved that computer. unfortunately, she died on me.
i have a new love now that is a dell...also 13 inch.
it's probably in a file cabinet somewhere.

i have an IBM Lenovo (sigh.. china) arriving this week. should be good, i did pay quite a bit for it. 14.1" (NOT widescreen. i'd only get a 15.4" widesceen because i can't stand short monitors.) i think it's 5 lbs.
