Any of you MIT guys had this guy before?

I would appreciate a class like this. I wish all my science classes were this fun.

No, I took a more theoretical version (8.022) of his class. Our class demonstrations weren't nearly as cool. But I still remember my first lecture from fall semester of freshman year.
The lecturer chatted briefly about the class, then introduced the older professor who would be our lab instructor. The lab instructor stood and rambled for a few minutes about the importance of keeping an orderly lab notebook. I rolled my eyes and drew doodles. Finally, he finished and left the classroom.
The lecturer addressed the class. "You all would do well to heed Professor Kendall," he said. "He is a Nobel laureate."
That was the last time that I doodled in physics lab.
I had professor Lewin for a few lectures in 8.02 if I remember correctly. I only have a few regrets of my time at MIT:
1) not taking 8.011 and 8.022 (first year was pass/fail anyways)
2) never getting showered before my first 8.01 exam (my roommates tried but I didn't put up a fight so they stopped)
3) never meeting Professor Kendall (my roommate once remarked that his biggest brush with fame was standing at a urinal next to Professor Kendall in the infinite corridor
my high school physics class was about this fun... hence I ended up as an EE and many others in that very same class ended up in the science & engineering field.. now my former physics teacher is the high school principal.
