A Good Weekend...
This past weekend was pretty fun. I went out to the Texas State Fair on Saturday. For those that don't, the Texas State Fair is the birthplace of the corn dog and other fried food items (you heard of the deep fried Twinkie). There was supposed to be a larger group going, but it ended up being my friend and I. Which wasn't bad because we were able to efficiently go through out task list of things to do (read: eat).
We got the requisite corn dogs first. The corn dogs are always the first things we get at the Fair. We then hit the car show. We started looking at the domestics and then we got depressed looking at crappy cars we sought out the import show. At the import show we got to see the new Hyundai Genesis. That is a pretty sweet car. Hyundai finally got it right for a change. Next, we or more accurately I got some chicken fried bacon. You read that right, chicken fried bacon. It was surprisingly good. We then got the fried grilled cheese. That was a little bit disappointing; it was much too greasy. We ended the day looking at the midway games; when we realized not only were there no games interesting enough to play, but we had nobody to play for (i.e. nobody to give any prizes to).
Sunday was the church picnic. I forgot about it and didn't bring a change of clothes. I did play tennis later in the day. It felt good to get out and run around again. I've been really lazy and sloth like the past several months. Dinner that night was interesting to say the least. A very unique group of people. That's it for now.

sounds like a ball!
birthplace of the corn dog?? you sure about that???
and a grilled cheese sandwich being too greasy is like the lettuce in the salad being too fresh.
@slamjoe - Yes I am. Ask any Texan, and they will tell you the same.
yeah.. eating mixes sounds a bit disturbing, but maybe we would never know. maybe they would taste the same. sigh... ignorance is bliss.
