I went bowling last night for the first time in weeks, and it showed. However, I did notice that my strength has increased. I recntly began lifting agian to work out, and I guess it showed; because I was sending the ball down the lane with a bit more power than usual. Albeit, I was using a ten pound ball (maybe I should switch over to a 12 pounder now). Though I have to say this, my control was off the whole night, and I couldn't close out a lot of frames. Whenever I did get a strike or a spare I followed it up with a goose egg. But in the end it was a fun night, especially since I don't get out that much as of late.

A new challenge...
Three chess boards, three seperate opponents, all playing against me. They are playing to a stalemate; I am playing to win. I just have to beat one of them. This shall be a unique challenge for me, I have never taken on three at the same time.

Last night I had dinner with someone and that person's friends. After dinner we went to a coffee shop to hang out and talk. After a while, we ran onto another person that we knew, and that person joined us. Eventually, my dinner companion's friends left. So the three of us talked for a bit. More people we knew began showing up, so we all ended up hanging out together as a group. Now, today I had several people ask me if there was anything going on between myself and my dining companion. I just had to laugh. It was the most preposterous notion. I have problems when people make assumptions about situations just on what they see. Why do people assume certain things when they see certain situations?
It is those kinds of assumptions that lead to rumors, and those rumors are what get people hurt.

It's been a while since I had a serious post. Some of the events that have happened over the past half year have really added perspective to my life. I have been reflecting on some of my past posts and just on life currently, and you know the only thing I can think of is that, "life is good." So far here are the major downers that I have had:
1. I got rejected. But, it's okay, I'm over it.
2. I got nuked. Okay, I had radiation therapy. Everything went well, but it was a pain to go back and forth to California. The plus side was there was no down time for me.
As for the uppers:
1. I figured out I can graduate within the year.
All in all I would say that this is much better than it was last year at this point. I'm close to graduating and entering the "real world" though people have been telling me that it's not all what it's cracked up to be. I have some possible new targets on the horizon, but will they pan out...hard to say (to many variables). But I want to go back to my first thing. There are several possibilities for me. I still want to teach, but there are other opportunities that are presenting themselves. However, taking those opportunities will mean postponing or giving up teaching. In the end I want to honor God in what I do regardless of what it is I end up doing. The question that I have to ask, and make myself ask is; "What does God want me to do, that will glorify Him?" It's not a simple question to answer. I will try and keep you all updated on this aspect of my life.
Okay, now for the part that most of you are most likely curious about. Yeah, earlier in the year I did ask someone out by writing a letter. Sappy, cheesy, gutsy, strange, or foolish, however you want to describe my method; I put a lot of thought and time into that letter. If you’re asking yourself what kind of women would turn me down; I’ll tell you, a very smart one. But, to conclude without going into too many details, that chapter in the book is at an end. And for those that do know the full story, keep it to yourselves. As for the new, well I’ll leave that alone for now. Too many variables exist, and I don’t want to get anybody’s hopes up, especially mine.
Hopefully, this post hasn’t bored you to tears too much.

Another List...
I was purusing the web, in what little spare time that I have and came across this article. It's from one of my favorite magazines, Popular Mechanics. I added the link and copy/pasted the aricle for you all to read.

25 Skills Every Man Should Know: The List, Ready for Your Debate
As Glenn Reynolds writes in his new PM column, traditional knowledge of how to build and fix ordinary things—around the house and in a jam—might be on the decline. With our lives becoming more driven by technology, blue-collar labor has been replaced with more white-collar employment, and teenagers are becoming better at programming Web sites than swinging hammers.
Here at PM, where we at least try to do everything, we spent weeks fine-tuning our list of "25 Skills Every Man Should Know," debating over whether certain items were too basic, too challenging or just too obscure. You can find a full how-to rundown of each one in the October issue of Popular Mechanics, which just hit newsstands. But for now, check out our carefully selected list below, then offer your own arguments and suggestions in the comments section below, or tell us how to perform your must-know skill by writing to us here...
